I'm Loving This

the blog

If you wonder what is behind my logo and theme of “I’m loving this,” here is my best answer as of today!

For me, I’m loving this is . . .

  1. A hand basket for the potpourri of curious, funny, practical or uplifting topics I share here.
  2. A strategy for overcoming challenges.
  3. An intention for a Grace-filled way of life.

Where Everyday Inspiration Meets Personal Transformation

Hand Basket for Potpourri of Topics

On the I’m loving this blog you may find curiosities from my travels, reflections, a few poems, challenges,  tips for self-nurturing, and whatever else strikes my fancy! I love having fun with my life! I love offering good stuff that helps me, in case it might be useful for you.

When it happens, I will share news about my books — what I am working on now, when to expect publication, and any book signings or speaking engagements related to the books.

Strategy for Overcoming Challenges

Whew! I can’t count the number of times I have been frustrated by automated messages while trying to reach a live person on the phone. Of course, there are other times when I get bent out of shape, out of balance emotionally, or things are simply not going the way I want them to.

I learned long ago, from Letting Love Lead, by John-Roger with Paul Kaye, to apply a simple phrase, “I love this.” For me, it quickly evolved to “I’m loving this.”

If I will say these words to myself a few times when I face upsetting situations, about ten seconds later a crooked smile creeps onto my lips, or a little giggle bubbles up. This is just life. Saying “I’m loving this,” to an irritating situation is funny. I might as well relax and accept the way things are going. Instead of exploding at the person who eventually answers, I can present my problem calmly and get an answer.

For me, “I’m loving this,” works for all sorts of settings and helps me stay (as my mom used to say) “cool, calm and collected.”

Intention for a Grace-filled Way of Life

I’m loving this Life, and this body temple that I inhabit. I’m not a human who has a soul, I’m a soul who has a human. I’m loving this human experience, and when I bring loving to each day, my life is rich and fulfilling.
